Student and faculty announcements
The new Information Assurance classes have been
approved in certificate form so that students can
obtain an academic certificate in IA on their way to a
MSIA degree. RU is a CAEIAE (Center of Academic
Excellence in Information Assurance Education)
institution. In January of 2009 the
University was notified that the institution was
remapped to the CN4011 and CN4012 standards.
The Application Development student group is working
on deploying Services via ESB JAVA technology on the
our research network, ARNe. Our Systems Engineers
are deploying a core/edge router architecture. In
addition the 6T HDS Thunder SAN and HP EVA 1.5T have
been installed and configured at SNIA TC (Storage
Networking Industry Association Tech Center) in
Colorado Springs. Thanks to CIT and Hitachi Data
Systems for the generous award. The IA students have
conducted their annual inventory and security audit at
all campuses.
- The undergraduate and graduate faculty are
participating in the redesign of the networking
current. The curricular change resulted in 11 new
undergrad courses offered online and in the
classroom.
